Mid-Market Account Executive

As an Account Executive on the Business Development sales team, you will play a critical role helping to drive revenue growth by prescriptively matching Contactually’s solution to the needs of Mid-Market companies. You’ll identify potential customers in new market verticals, implement an outbound sales strategy to engage prospects, and manage a pipeline to close business. You will also find yourself collaborating with the Marketing and Product teams to refine our positioning and value proposition to accelerate our go-to-market efforts.


What you'd do

  • Conduct exploratory business development calls in key market verticals to identify target customers, business priorities, key challenges, and product/market fit.
  • Prospect new opportunities in target industries within a defined sales territory.
  • Schedule and complete discovery calls with decision-makers at target accounts.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and teach prospects how Contactually can solve their problems.
  • Perform high quality product demonstrations that match and position our solution to the prospect's articulated needs.
  • Present solutions aligned to the prospect's needs, negotiate pricing and close business.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Willing to relocate to DC or be based in a major city (NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, etc)
  • 3-4 years of experience in software sales, with a specific focus on SaaS products.
  • Excellent executive presence with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Exemplary rapport-building skills with contacts at every level of the prospect organization. Our product helps our customers build strong relationships – so you should be an example of that.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms. While you may not have sold them before, having a solid understanding of the value they offer to organizations is best.

While not requirements, the following are some preferred experiences:

  • Selling into the real estate, legal, or financial services or insurance industries.
  • Selling to mid-market companies 
  • BA/BS or equivalent; MBA is a plus.
